Visit the capital Papeete

The 3 waterfalls of Faaurumai
Are located in Tiarei (30 minutes by car from Papeete).
The first waterfall, the most accessible (a few minutes on foot) is called VAIMAHUTA (80 m of waterfall). The other two (20 to 30 minutes of walking) are HAAMAREMARE RAHI (100 m) and ITI (40m).

Day on Moorea
The sister island is located 30 minutes by ferry from Tahiti, it is the perfect destination to spend a day outside of Tahiti and go swimming with rays or eat pineapples. The ideal is to go there by ferry, with an adult return ticket around €25.

The Teahupoo wave
Known worldwide, especially since the 2024 Olympics, this is the legendary wave sought after by many.
To see it up close, you will have to go to Teahupo'o on the peninsula (1h30 from Papeete) and then get on a taxi-boat to get to the surf spot at the reef.

Swimming with whales
Every year, whales pass through our waters between August and December. This is a unique opportunity to meet them and swim at a safe distance from these giant mammals.
Hiking
There is no shortage of hiking trails in Tahiti, there is something for everyone.
La Fatau'a
4-hour hike up to the Fachoda basins and its natural slides.
The start of the trail is located at the bottom of the Titioro valley, 10 minutes from the center of Papeete.
You must apply to the Papeete town hall to access it (600fcfp per adult).

Maroto Valley
Dive into the heart of the island of Tahiti and discover unique and majestic landscapes by crossing this valley from Papeno'o (20 minutes from Papeete). A 4x4 vehicle is recommended, and check the weather before going.

The Pirogue Races
The Va'a, the outrigger canoe, is the national sport in Polynesia and it is common to have races on Tahiti, individually or in teams of 6. You can watch them directly from the shore, but the ideal is to follow the competitors by boat.
